Overview
Crane truck service
done properly.
One truck that picks it up, drives it to your site and sets it exactly where it needs to go. Our Peterbilt 340 with a Hiab 330 knuckle-boom crane handles the jobs that are too heavy for a tailgate and too small to need a mobile crane.
A knuckle-boom (also called a boom truck, picker truck or Hiab truck) folds compactly and reaches over obstacles, so it fits residential streets and narrow lots where a larger crane can't. If a lift is beyond our truck, we'll say so and can arrange a larger crane through BC Crane Service.

FAQ
Quick answers.
What's the difference between a crane truck and a mobile crane?+
A crane truck carries the load and lifts it with its own crane, so one visit covers pickup, delivery and placement. A mobile crane only lifts and usually needs the item delivered separately. For most residential and light commercial jobs a crane truck is faster and costs less.
How much can your crane truck lift?+
It depends on how far the load has to reach — the closer to the truck, the more it can lift. Tell us the weight and where it needs to go and we'll confirm before booking. The truck itself carries up to 20,000 lb on a 22 ft deck.
Do you lift over houses and fences?+
Often, yes — that's what a knuckle-boom is good at. We check power lines, rooflines and trees first; photos of the site help us confirm quickly.
Can you deliver and place items I bought elsewhere?+
Yes. We pick up from the store, supplier, yard or port and set it in place at your site.
